Greendown Anti-Bullying

G.A.B.(Greendown Anti-Bullying) formed at the start of 2004 with pupils mainly taken from its current Year 10 who felt the need to form a support network to support those affected, and help stamp out, bullying. Since its formation the pupils involved have undergone training from Judith Moore from Childline in Partnership with Schools (CHIPS). They have also attended a presentation day organised by Swindon Youth Service, met representatives from Wiltshire Police, met the Director of Education, the Mayor of Swindon and members of the press and local radio. The school were awarded funding from Crimbeat to help promote the scheme in the school and raise awareness amongest its pupils.
